Hello again Trikers,

We had 21 members at the January meeting. It was postponed a week for weather. However, Richard and Sammy have supplied the shop with more propane tanks now, and Sammy has the divider curtain fixed, so we should be able to warm the place up now. We only have 1, maybe 2 more months where we will need heat anyway, so we should not have to change any more meeting dates. We have paid another year’s insurance on the shop this month, so we’re ready for another year at BTW-DFW. I hope everybody had a great holiday season, and got through it all safe & sound.

This year, we are planning on doing more rides. We would like to do something each month, so if you have an idea for a days ride that you would like to make with the group, feel free to bring it up at a meeting, or contact a Road Captain and work out the details. This month Roundman is doing a brunch run. It is this Sunday, January 31st. He’ll be leaving the shop at 10 am, and headed to CADDO STREET GRILL in Cleburne. For more info contact Roundman @ 817-903-0672. The Waco chapter is having a benefit later that day down south for one of their members, Amy Smith, at SMOKIN RAYZ SPORTS BAR. If anyone is interested in going down to show support for our brothers & sisters down in Waco, I believe Richard & Marsha will be heading that way after the brunch in Cleburne. I’ve sent a donation in BTW-DFW’s name.

We are planning a Muenster Run in April. We’ll ride up there and stock up on meat for Memorial Day. Speaking of Memorial Day, at the meeting we voted to have our annual campout at STAR OF THE RIVER this year. However, I was just notified that the man has gone up on the price. This will have to be discussed again at the next meeting. Feb. 12th, 7pm

Anyone planning on going to Trike Week this year? If so, you need to make your reservations. I hear the RV sites & cabins in the area are filling up fast. I believe they have a list of area motels & campgrounds on the BTW website. May be some info in your Triker Magazine as well.
